The 3 Best Knife Sets Of 2026

Anyone who really loves cooking knows you need all sorts of knives in your kitchen. Big, small, serrated and more. You can buy a nice knife online, but its a lot like golf clubs. You wouldn’t just buy a nice driver, would you? I like all my irons, woods and wedges to be a matching set! Knives are like the golf clubs of the kitchen, in the sense that you don’t want to be too close to anyone swinging them around. Jokes aside, let me illuminate three of the best sets I’ve seen.

Victorinox

You probably know Victorinox from the Swiss Army Knife. That same precision applies to their kitchen cutlery. The Fibrox Pro series is a favorite among home cooks and professionals alike, combining high-carbon stainless steel blades with ergonomic, non-slip handles. The balance feels right, the edge holds, and the price makes a full set genuinely attainable.

What I appreciate most is that these knives earn their reputation in actual kitchens, not just on spec sheets. If you want a set that covers all the bases without overcomplicating the decision, Victorinox is a very easy recommendation.

Dalstrong

More focused on cutlery as their area of expertise, Dalstrong makes high quality knives that are as beautiful as they are ergonomic. Take a look at their website for yourself and see what they have to offer.

I want to highlight the 18-piece set pictured to the left. 18 different knives and a nice big block to go with it. This product normally retails for $999, but you can save $500 by shopping today!

HexClad

HexClad Master Series Japanese Damascus Steel Knife Set, 7pc

Can we take a moment to admire the naming of this product? I love HexClad’s branding in general, which I’ve discussed in previous articles. But I have to give a special kudos to the member of the marketing team who came up with this name. Japanese Damascus Steel sounds like it can cut through anything. It just does! I see this on the HexClad website and my eyes are instantly drawn to it.

I’ve actually been fortunate enough to see this set up close in person before. I went to a dinner party where the host was using it, and I was impressed. Admittedly, it’s not the largest set compared to the 12 piece above, but there is strong versatility in terms of size and shape/edge. One thing I really like is including the cutting board. A subtle touch, sure, but it’s nice to not have to worry about getting it separately. Once again we’re looking at a beautiful walnut color. What can I say, I like what I like!

No matter which of these brands you choose from, I find that a good knife block or set is paramount to any good kitchen. It’s definitely one of the things that catches my eye when I walk into a home, and not just because I’ve watched too many movies. Happy cooking!
